Preferably research projects will focus on the lines of research of the IIJ UNACH, namely:
Democratic governance, institutional reform and fundamental rights at the local level
In this sense, it is suggested that research projects should reflect on the factors that influence the evolution, development and strengthening of the constitutional rule of law and public institutions, setting up from the reality and perspective of the States.
Projects that focus on other areas related to contemporary issues of building the rule of law in southeastern Mexico and Central America can also be admitted.
These studies are taught in at least five semesters and a maximum of eight. In that period students must complete their doctoral dissertation, and successfully defend it in open examination within 5 years from registration to the PhD Program in Law.
Graduates of the PhD Program in Law have solid technical and methodological training, which will allow them to perform constructively in the science of law. Graduates are competent to conduct investigations that contribute in immediate, direct and innovative ways in the social sciences and humanities, especially in the field of law, using the analysis of their own professional and academic experience as a starting point, meeting the rigors of scientific method, which allows them to:
